Just want to send a note out to everyone that the team has made it safely home. Travel went very smoothly yesterday and we have had an opportunity to rest up and reconnect with our families. Thank you from MTH to the team for their hard work and fellowship the past 12 days. It was truely a pleasure serving with all of you! I just want to plant a seed that we will need some people to return with us in the next couple of weeks to unload the container as soon as it clears customs. If you (...)

November 24th Thursday Final Day
Today was our last day here in Haiti – it was a day of rest at Kaliko where we enjoyed the beach and pool, a great meal (including a birthday cake for Glenn!) and each other’s companionship. This was such an amazing team! Everyone worked so well together and we had such fun together as well! The nights of sitting around playing cards or spoons (with medical on standby) was so much fun! It’s crazy how we are all like family to each other! We are (...)
November 23rd Wednesday
The journey to Les Cayes …
The day began at 4 am – we were up bright (well, maybe not so bright) but it was definitely early, to try and get on the road before traffic got busy and slowed our progress. Glenn was also up to see us on our way. Pastor Charles drove into Port au Prince to pick up our driver, Reginald, who was also a police officer. This gave us some reassurances for travelling through the many unknown communities and on unfamiliar roads. (...)
November 22nd Tuesday
Sorry to be a day late in posting Tuesday’s stories – the bloggers were stuck in rush hour traffic downtown Port au Prince for a couple of hours and it was late upon their return home. The pictures posted today will be of those we didn’t get up the day before due to the internet not working properly. This is all on Haitian time of course!
The construction team had an early start to their morning, wanting to get to the job site early to ensure (...)
November 21st Monday
We talked about challenges today – that there are a lot of things we need to do in our life that maybe we don’t want to – like speaking in front of people can be a challenge for some. Put your challenge to God for he has a plan for you to share what you have with those around you.
Today both the medical and construction teams will be in Port au Port offsite together for the first time. Medical will be holding a clinic at Pastor Leon’s school where (...)
November 20th Sunday
We say good-bye to Judson today. Such an asset to this team, and we will all miss him!
We all went to service this morning joining in with the community people attending. Pastor Charles talked about the needs that people have and to put your needs to Jesus for wherever you are he will see you. Put your faith in Jesus for he has compassion and he will understand your needs, meet them and solve your problems. We were all amazed at the beautiful music today. (...)
November 19th Saturday
Today is Saturday – a day of rest for us, although we were still up early this morning for a 7 am breakfast and then on the road by 8 to head out for the day.
We drove into Port au Prince and started up the hill towards the Baptist Mission stopping at the metal works market to do a bit of shopping. Beautiful pieces of metal, some painted – a lot of paintings and sculptures for sale by vendors. We arrived at the Baptist Mission for an early lunch at (...)
November 18th Friday
Bob started our day off with a devotion. “Put all your trust in God – acknowledge Him and he will make sure you can get to where you are going”
The sponsorship team of Lyn, Jane, Ed, Sandi, Bisson and Luc went into Port au Prince to the area where Bisson and his brother Luc have children (OA) that are sponsored to attend different schools. They have approximately 80-90 children that are sponsored from Junior Kindergarten right up to university level. (...)
November 17th Thursday
The construction crew was off once again to Port au Prince to continue with building the forms to ready them for the pouring of cement, which was done today as well. It rained again overnight so water had to be removed from the trenches bucket full by bucket full. A slower start to the last couple of mornings because of the rains but the rest of the day was booming busy! Kaitlin was down in the trenches keeping up with the guys building forms and closing clips. In places she was in (…)
Wednesday Nov. 16
This morning our devotion was lead by Glenn. He read from John 6:1-15.
Today the Medical Clinic stayed in Cabaret. We opened clinic around 8:30am this morning and finished around 3:45pm. Seeing a total of 151 patients in total. The medical team saw 127 patients. Quite a few patients came in with High Blood Pressure and they saw two ladies in labour. The dental clinic saw 24 patients. Each patient received a toothbrush and toothpaste and (...)
